Knitting and handicraft

Knitting is the new Rock and Roll!
We have two groups of knitters, both of which are growing fast.
The Home Knitters are organised by Clarise Poulter, who provides them with wool. They make clothes for the homeless and for the National Children's Home.
The other is the Gladys Francis' Group, who meet alternate Fridays at the Wesley Hall, Stapylton Road in Barnet, from 10:00 - 12:00. This group is organised by Mandy Francis who took over when her mother died and has grown enormously. Their output is tremendous - premature baby clothes, knee blankets for the elderly, scarves and gloves for the homeless, and our famous Trauma Teddies which are sent to troubled children all round the world.
Mandy's group of happy knitters meet on the following Fridays in 2009 why don't you come along?
April 3rd 17th April May 1st
May 15th May 29th 12th June
26th June 10th July 24th July
7th August
Dates after 7th August will be announced later
Mandy has started another group in the community room in Highwood Court,
Potters Lane, High Barnet. This group meets on the Mondays following the above Friday meetings from 6.0pm to 8.0pm
