Lottery award to get Barnet disabled into action

      On Monday 13th October it was announced that our Active Volunteering project has been awarded £263,971 for 5 years by The National Lottery. This award is a fantastic achievement for a project that aims to enrich the lives of local disabled people by helping them to get involved with community life through volunteering. Karen Hamilton, the London Development Manager for RSVP, said "The funding will enable more disabled people to use their skills to benefit others in their local community"  Regional Co-ordinator Bill Ibbotson said "this is the culmination of 2 years hard work by our team of fund raisers for a wonderful project that enables people with disabilities to become a more vibrant part of their community.
